Private Individual or Small Group Training
In general, we recommend training in our regular Krav Maga classes, so you get training with a variety of individuals and body types.
For some folks, the place they’d prefer to start is in private training.
We offer individual and small groups for a single session or ongoing training. However, these sessions are best done with you and at least one other person (but we can accommodate single individuals as well).
What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is an Israeli self-defense system based on fast, easy-to-learn responses to common, real-world attacks. It draws on techniques from other martial arts and combat sports such as Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Karate, Wrestling, and Boxing and combines them with an emphasis on home defense, sexual assault prevention, and surprise attacks.
Krav Maga is meant for everyone of every size, age, and experience level to walk with strength and confidence out in the world.
What to Expect
Krav Maga training is physical. Participants should plan for athletic activity. Wear clothing you feel comfortable moving and sweating in.
Private classes can vary based on your goals and you have opportunities to stop and ask lots of questions.
Typically a private session may include:
- A quick warm up with basic calisthenics and movement
- Training our Krav Maga combatives (punches, kicks, knees, and/or elbows)
- Hands-on self defense scenarios, which might include defenses against strangulation, headlocks, fighting from the ground, bearhugs, etc.
There’s no experience necessary, and all fitness levels are welcome.
